EY France Turns to Wire for Encrypted Communications


EY France has adopted encrypted messaging app Wire for internal and client communications in a move that could prove the marquee customer win the Switzerland-based company needs to put it more firmly on the enterprise radar.

Wire – which offers secure messaging, voice, video and file sharing– also names Blackrock and Unicef as customers. It uses Proteus, an implementation of the axolotl protocol (Double Ratchet algorithm) without header keys for encryption, updating the encryption key with each message – whether that is a text, file share, call – for security.
